Being medically overweight also increases your risk of certain cancers. How effective are meal replacement diets and the diet meal replacement products? A. Very effective! We will work with you to assure that you are consuming adequate intakes of high quality protein and proper nutrition. If you are on a 1000 to 1200 calorie diet it may be difficult for you to consume adequate amounts of high quality protein. Our diet foods are high in protein and will fulfill your daily protein requirements. We have meal plans for diets ranging from 1000 to 1800 calories per day that will assure that you receive the necessary nutrition and appropriate protein when using our diet products. We help you preserve lean tissue (muscle) by maintaining the level of essential proteins in the body. A higher metabolic rate can be achieved during calorie restriction if intake of lean protein is maintained at high levels. Q. What about Diet vs. Exercise? A. When our clients take the nutritional food products as prescribed, they experience weight loss early. We have found that the clients that experienced weight loss early in the program were more likely to adhere to the diet and continue until they reached their goal weight. However you improve your weight loss performance and reach your weight loss goals sooner if you incorporate exercise into your daily activities. You do not have to join a gym or lift weights. Walking is an excellent form of low impact exercise. The best thing about walking is you don't have to have excelled at it in high school, no special equipment is needed, and everyone can do it. Set your own pace; then try to add a little more distance each day. Slowly build up your endurance, carry water with you and stop and rest when you need to. For those of us that have weather issues, walk in the mall; walk up the stairs in the building that you work in, walk in the mega big box stores, or supermarkets. Q. Weight loss has never been easy for me, I�ve tried what seems to be thousands of diets and I always end up feeling hungry during the day. A. We provide you with great tasting nutritional food options that will help you curb your appetite. Many snacks available in the market place today are high calorie, high fat food items that are not conducive to healthy eating.
